Birthday time again...A Time for Change!
Well, today is my birthday (again). This year is much different than years past. Becky and I separated almost 4 months ago and the girls are staying a lot with her. Needless to say things get pretty lonely!
I woke up this morning to a phone call from my 2 little girls and Becky singing Happy Birthday to me. Man I miss them! Having them by me all of the time. Being able to talk to Becky about what is going on at work and what she has been up to, etc.
Life is interesting, you know. I mean Becky is from Norway...I grew up between Massachusetts and Brazil. We meet through some friends while I am visiting Provo, Utah. We fall in love and get married. All the stars had to align for that to take place. Then life happens, difficulties, school, finances, etc. and things start to fall apart. It's sad and it hurts.
For my birthday this year I have been able to really sit down and examine my life and make some decisions that I fully expect to be positive for the present and the future. I don't know if it will fix the past, I hope so, but it will be a significant change for the future.
I thought about setting "goals" but in my experience, goals are not achieved without some type of a lifestyle change. So I thought it would be best to skip the "goals" and go straight to the change in lifestyle.
I will begin posting some of the more obvious ones regarding my health and fitness. My financial successes may be updated at some times, but I do not have any plans of doing so at this time. I will hopefully be able to post successes regarding my personal life as well, but for now, I will hold off. Just know that I am fighting to keep my family together or reunited, as well as trying to develop friendships as the friends in my life right now are nearly non existent due to distance, busy with their own families and friends, or whatever their individual situations.
My life is going to be different from today on...
